Waldorf Around the World

Waldorf early childhood education, also known as Steiner early years education, is practiced worldwide. There are nearly 2000 Waldorf kindergartens, home programs, child care centers, and pre-schools in more than sixty countries on six continents.

The International Association for Steiner/Waldorf Early Childhood Education (IASWECE) was founded to foster cooperation among colleagues, deepen teacher education, and offer support for Waldorf early childhood education projects around the world. WECAN is a full member of the International Association and sends two representatives to the council, the main decision-making body of the Association. Click the link below to visit the IASWECE website, where you can view a directory of IASWECE members and learn more about the Association and its activities. The WECAN website will remain open in a separate window.
